- Published late, and nothing since April. The January, February and March 2026 lists were all posted on 10 April 2026, and the April list on 13 May 2026. On 1 November 2026, no list for May–September 2026 had been published.
- Values are copied exactly as printed. Mangaung usually prints a unit price or "negotiated rates" plus the available budget for the year, not a contract total. We do not estimate or total them. One April award shows a total project cost of R50,647,362.26 against a 2025/26 budget of R5 557 505.00, as printed.
- Panel tenders list several winners with their points. One January score is printed as "-20.49"; we show it as printed.
- The lists are scanned images with no text, so we copied each row by hand. Names may contain reading errors. Please check the linked PDF and report errors.
- Only formal bids above R750,000 are covered. Being listed is not an accusation of wrongdoing. Corrections: support@mkweli.tech.
Why city by city
South Africa has no single complete list of who won public tenders. National Treasury's eTenders portal shows the winner for only about 1 in 5 finished tenders (Awardee count, 12 October 2026), and municipalities are not obliged to share data with Treasury.
Done: City of Cape Town, City of Ekurhuleni, City of Johannesburg, Mangaung, Buffalo City, Nelson Mandela Bay. State-owned companies done: Eskom, Transnet, SANRAL. No current list: we found no regular official 2026 award list for Tshwane or eThekwini (Durban). That gap is itself a finding.

Possible link: to verify. This is not a finding of wrongdoing. The law requires these disclosures (Municipal Supply Chain Management Regulation 45, and the related-party rules). Making a disclosure is not an irregularity, and nobody named here is accused of anything. Names, companies, roles and amounts are copied exactly as printed, in rand.
