- Only two 2026 lists exist. On 1 November 2026 the Municipality had published lists for January and February 2026 only, with 3 awards in total. Nothing has been posted for March–September 2026. Earlier years also have gaps.
- Lists appear months after the award. The R43.4 million award to Rivob (Pty) Ltd was approved on 16 October 2025 but appears in the February 2026 list.
- Amounts are copied exactly as printed, including "Rate based" where no total is given. We do not estimate them.
- Points, B-BBEE points, black ownership and black women ownership are shown only as the Municipality prints them. "Locality" is the Municipality's own column; it does not say what it measures.

Why city by city
South Africa has no single complete list of who won public tenders. National Treasury's eTenders portal shows the winner for only about 1 in 5 finished tenders (Awardee count, 12 October 2026), and municipalities are not obliged to share data with Treasury.
Done: City of Cape Town, City of Ekurhuleni, City of Johannesburg, Mangaung, Buffalo City, Nelson Mandela Bay. State-owned companies done: Eskom, Transnet, SANRAL. No current list: we found no regular official 2026 award list for Tshwane or eThekwini (Durban). That gap is itself a finding.

The City did not name the suppliers in this disclosure. These rows cannot be tied to any award on this page, so no award below has a badge. The City also did not state the family relation (spouse, child or parent).
The law requires this disclosure: Municipal Supply Chain Management Regulation 45 covers awards of more than R2 000 to a spouse, child or parent of a person in the service of the state. Disclosing is not an irregularity, and nobody named here is accused of anything. Names, posts and amounts are copied exactly as the City printed them; some names may look reversed. The City says the list is "as recorded in the declaration-of-interest form".
